👅 Commitment to minority languages
1st International Congress on Communication, Technology and Minority Languages
One of Sorensen’s founding commitments is to work towards improving the situation of those languages that are endangered. That is why we were thrilled to participate in the 1st International Congress on Communication, Technology and Minority Languages, an event organised by the Conselh Generau d’Aran, RTVE and Universitat Pompeu Fabra. A space to discuss and analyse how AI can be an excellent tool for the creation and production of audiovisual content in minority languages.
Presentation of our tool Larsson.ai
On one hand, Quico Domingo presented our tool Larsson.ai during the round table dedicated to AI and content creation in minority languages. Our assistant is already used in newsrooms of various media outlets such as La Xarxa, as well as different communication departments.
Signaria Project
And on the other hand, Xavi Vinaixa spoke about the Signaria project we are working on with UPF, for the creation of a personalised synthetic voice prototype for deaf signing individuals in the radio broadcasting field.
